Sabine Arqu� is a documentarian, iconographer, and author. She has collaborated on numerous books on the subjects of travel, the history of tourism and photography.
Art Historian Karin Lelonek works as a curator and author for a number of museums and cultural institutions. She specializes in 20th century photography and architecture.

Exceptional Book. Large and heavy, but brings back the Ol' Times of a peaceful Germany before the two World Wars. Wonderful romantic impressions of a forgotten era.

This book is as beautiful as it is big

This book is as beautiful as it is big. I do wish more information could have accompanied each picture. However, it will look great on any coffee table, provided there is enough space. Definitely not a dust collector, as one may flip its numerous pages, on special occasions, in order to be taken to those simpler times. This book is a perfect gift for those who draw inspiration from a different era.

Exceptionally large book with outstanding photographs from a different era

I've lived in Germany for the last 5 years and always looked for books that contained vintage photographs of German cities I visited. The amount of photos and quality included in this book is unmatched from anything I've ever seen. From every part of Germany from 100 years ago with cities no longer inside Germany's borders like Danzig are included. Highly recommended
